ONE OF THE BEST

Diego Milito is regarded as one of the finest strikers to have played for Inter Milan. He was an integral part of the Milan team that won the Champions league and the Italian Serie A along with the Italian club in one single season.

Inter Milan achieved this extraordinary feat in the 2009-10 season under José Mourinho. Even though they were Milito has not hit the same heights since then, he is regarded as a great signing for the club. The Argentina international is coming to the end of his stellar career, while the rumours that he may be sold by Inter Milan in the January transfer window appear to be heating up.

Inter striker Ishak Belfodil has said that he feels privileged to be playing alongside a player like Milito. He is also surprised at the way the Argentine seems extremely humble. Belfodil also thinks that Milito is a legend for Inter Milan having been such a reason for them lifting numerous trophies under Mourinho, but he is surprised that Milito does not think the same way. The 21-year-old joined Inter Milan from Parma only last January. After several years in the wilderness, Inter are rebuilding under Walter Mazzarri, who joined the club from Napoli in the summer.

"Now I see him every day, he's a very nice, normal guy and he doesn't behave like he's a legend - which he is. Perhaps when I leave or when he does I'll say to myself, 'Blimey, you played with Diego Milito!'. I like it at Inter and it's been like that since the start. I've not had any problems and what's helped has been the fact my Italian's better than it was in previous years. Then there was also [Gaby] Mudingayi, who speaks French, and [Ibrahima] Mbaye, who then went to Livorno but all the other guys - the Argentines, et cetera - have all helped me a lot," said Belfodil.
